PADI’s TecRec Courses at our Technical Diving Center in Phuket Thailand. They are a series of advanced diver training courses to introduce and educate recreational divers beyond the established limits of 40m with a single gas executing no-decompression dives. PADI TecRec offers the possibility for these divers who wish to venture longer or deeper into the aquatic realm by an intense training program.
The program offers a stepwise training by allowing the diver to gradually dive deeper while executing longer decompression stops, unavoidable when doing deeper exploration dives. During the course you will be introduced to new diving equipment, the use and procedures, all accompanied by a highly skilled PADI TecRec instructor, supported by state of the art educational materials as books, slates and software.
The TecRec program debuted in 2000. Although PADI TecRec is not the first tec diving program (cave diver training has been around for decades), it repeatedly receives accolades for its merits.
Each level introduces you to new gear, planning and procedures, right to extend your diving limits.
The Tec Diver course is an integrated sequence of three sub courses: Tec 40, Tec 45 and Tec 50. You can complete them continuously, or you can complete each level separately with a time span between them. This gives you learning efficiency, instructional integrity and schedule flexibility.
After the 3 levels you can go to TRIMIX diving with Tec 65 and after this the Tec Deep Trimix to 90 meters. Besides these Tec level PADI also offer SIDEMOUNT courses. The PADI Sidemount course can be taught/ done by Recreational divers with either 1 or 2 cylinders. The Tec Sidemount course is run with 4 cylinders and is the next level up for Sidemount or Tec divers. The Tec 40,45 and 50 levels can be done on SIDEMOUNT or Back mount.

This is the first level in the series of TecRec courses, introducing the diver to new equipment, limited decompression and the limits of recreational diving.
PADI TecRec 45 course is the follow up from the Tec 40 Course program. This Course introduces Tec 45 divers to the first stages of full, technical deep decompression diving
Certified Tec 50 divers are qualified to make multi-stop decompression dives using air, EANx and oxygen up to two gases for accelerated decompression.
